Film influence
We had to main film influences within our thriller, these are “Premonition” and “I know what you did last summer”.
“Premonition” was influence to our film, because the film is about a woman who has a premonition that her husband has died. She lives days that her husband is dead and other days her husband is still living. This influenced us because Stephanie will be dreaming that she is going to run Jessica over, so it makes the film seem more suspicious, this links in with the film “Premonition” because they both dream of something bad happening and it comes true.
Here is the trailer of the film, to get an idea of how the film will link into our thriller because of her dreaming things of what is going to happen.
Another film that influenced are choice of thriller is “I know what you did last summer”, this influenced our choice of film because it is about a group of friends that run someone over, and then someone finds out and they get haunted by this person that knows, but they are confused to how they know because know one saw the car accident. This links into our film because Stephanie runs Jessica over and just gets up to continue walking and as nothing has happened, but Stephanie’s brief case goes missing and someone knows what’s inside of it, so someone can easily get her sacked, and lose everything she owns, this is similar to “I know what you did last summer” because something bad happens to them.
We thought that both of these films influenced us because they both have similar story lines as to what we wanted within our thriller. This is will help to make our thriller better because we will have two different types of thrillers in one.
